About Taco
♥ Introducing Taco! ♥
This super smoochy 3yr old Kelpie boy is happiest when getting pats from whoever may be within closest proximity to him! He does not discriminate when it comes to pats. Anyone will do!
Taco is a fairly cruisy type of fellow. He is happy to follow you around and do whatever you are doing. He will also come and rest by your feet when he is done exploring.
He is good with other dogs, and has been harmoniously living with 3 other working dog breeds of mixed ages and sex while in foster care. He wanders around with them, and sometimes has a play, but seems most happy to just be with his humans. He LOVES playing fetch and is excellent at bringing the toy back to drop at your feet.
Taco is good on lead, can sit on command and sleeps quietly in his crate overnight. He also enjoys some chill out time during the day and is not a particularly high energy version of his breed. He is not a working boy but would make a great farm companion, or hobby farm sidekick, and be happy to follow you around while doing chores. He is also suited to being a companion for someone who works from home, or with active retirees, as he does prefer to have his humans around most of the time. Taco is suited to be an 'only dog' in a situation where he would only be left alone for short periods. In fact, he would probably prefer to have his humans all to himself! (because... MORE PATS!)
Taco has not been tested with cats or livestock while in care. He does like to chase birds out of the yard, but it's a fairly half hearted effort. He is not super keen about going for car rides, however this could be worked on. Taco is not suited to apartment style or inner city living or small backyards. He is looking for a home familiar with the needs of the breed, able to continue his training and provide daily enrichment for him.
If you have space in your home and heart for a cuddly, smoochy handsome fella - then Taco is your guy!
**Taco is located in VIC....
