Temperament
Hey there, I’m Storm! I’m a playful and energetic pup who’s always on the go. I’m a true kelpie at heart, and I’ve got endless energy to burn. I’m super happy as long as I’ve got something to entertain myself with—whether it's a game of fetch, chasing my tail, or exploring the yard. I do love a good adventure, and I’m not afraid to follow you around while you’re mowing the lawn or exploring on my own. I also love curling up on laps for a nap when the excitement winds down.
Health and Training
I’m very clever and love learning new things—especially playing fetch! I’ve even started bringing the toys back, so you don’t have to go chasing after them. I’m also learning to walk nicely on a leash in the yard. I’m getting better at controlling my excitement, but sometimes I still jump up with joy when I meet new people. I’m working on being more patient, and when I meet new visitors, I’m learning to sit calmly at their feet for a pat.
Personality
I’m a sweet, affectionate dog who loves nothing more than running around, playing catch, and helping in the garden. My foster family says I have a ton of energy, but that I’m also very loving when I’ve worn myself out! I can be a little timid in unfamiliar situations and sometimes look to my humans for reassurance. But when I’m feeling confident, I’m playful, adventurous, and always ready for a new challenge. I get along well with other dogs and would love a playmate who can keep up with my active nature. I’m also great at entertaining myself with my toys, zoomies, and even a bit of tail-chasing.
Ideal Home
I would thrive in a home with an active family or another dog who enjoys playing and running around. Mental enrichment is just as important as physical exercise and just 10-15 minutes of focused mental stimulation can be as tiring for me as 30-60 minutes of physical exercise!
I’m also great with people and would be a perfect companion for anyone who enjoys spending time in the garden or playing catch. A secure yard with at least 5ft fencing is a must, as I’m a bit of an escape artist when I get bored. I’m looking for a family who can keep me busy with plenty of playtime and provide me with the structure and reassurance I need when I’m feeling a little unsure.

Before applying, please consider and finalise the following:

- Outside shelter areas
- Other resident pets fully vaccinated and preferably desexed
- The rescue pet's dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed, age
- Enrichment, exercise and training needs of pet you are applying for
- If you have not read our adoption process below in full, please do not apply until you have.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet. We will not contact you if you do not complete the form in full AND provided the required photos of yard/fencing within 48hrs. If you apply to adopt but require us to hold the pet more than 3 days before meeting, we will ask you for a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters. This holding deposit will be subtracted from the adoption fee should you adopt the animal on hold for you.

NEED TRANSPORT?
1. Apply to adopt per the above process.
2. Get quotes and select your desired transporter. We recommend Aeropets, Jetpets, and Dogtainers. Contact us for weights, height etc where needed. We also recommend Pet Waggin pet transport who can assist with road transport.
3. Message or email us to say you have applied and that you will require transport. Tell us which company and a potential departure date from that pet's nearest airport or meet point.
4. If your application is successful, we will lock in a date with you, coordinate any required 'fit to fly' certifications, a food delivery to your home, and appropriate training to make your new pet as comfortable on transport as possible.
5. All adoption contracts, adoption fees, and photo ID must be submitted to us via email before animal boards transport.
We will take into consideration the pet's ability to travel safely and comfortably before agreeing to send them on transport, and expect a high level of care from whatever company is engaged to move the animal.
