Introducing Blaze, the very handsome Fox Terrier with a smooth coat and a heart full of love! Blaze may be a bit shy when meeting new people, but his beautiful personality shines brightly once he warms up to you. This charming fellow is seeking a kind and patient new family willing to invest time in building his trust and helping him gain confidence.
Once Blaze feels comfortable, he loves nothing more than snuggling up with you on the couch for some quality cuddle time. Don't let his initial shyness fool you—he's a gentle, non-aggressive guy with a soft spot for treats, especially roast chicken. In fact, his food motivation makes him a quick learner, which is excellent news for those looking to continue his training. He has already started learning to sit and walk on a lead.
Blaze thoroughly enjoys hanging out with his humans, whether it's helping around the house, exploring the backyard, or zooming around with his ball. While he's not destructive, his curiosity often leads him to sniff and investigate anything that catches his interest, sometimes even plastic plant labels. He'd be quite satisfied with a combination diet of wet and dry food, and he's not at all fussy about his meals. Blaze travels quietly in a car, and he's unfazed by thunder or fireworks, though unfamiliar noises may startle him. Over time, his confidence in these situations has improved.
He has also proven to be wonderfully social during interactions with other dogs during his time in foster care. A household with another dog to accompany him on walks and provide companionship would be an ideal setting for Blaze. While he's had a few nighttime accidents indoors, this is likely avoidable with access to a doggie door.
Blaze is eager to find his new family and a cozy spot to sleep indoors at night, where he'll feel secure and loved. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this dashing companion, Blaze is ready to reward you with endless cuddles and loyalty.
Adoption Criteria:
We feel Blaze would really enjoy a little play friend who is little kind and gentle
A home with a secure yard that has grass, shade, and shelter. Blaze is more of an indoor girl.
If there are children, they should be mature, school-aged, and gentle.
A home that will cherish our sweet little Prince for the rest of his life
