About Anton
Hi, I’m Anton! I’m a handsome, goofy, happy boy on the lookout for my furever home! My favourite things in life are WALKS, my humans, puddles, and sticking my tongue out! I’m a gentle giant who loves cuddles, pats, and following you everywhere like a velcro dog. Even though I’m an adult, I’m still a sensitive baby and I need all the love and care in the world from my future pawrents. I really want my next home to be my furever home, where I can finally settle into a loving, stable environment and share my heart with my family for the rest of my life.
When it comes to walks, I can’t get enough! A morning and afternoon sniffari is my ideal day, and I love long walks to burn energy and explore. I also love the beach or any place with a puddle to splash in! If I don’t get my walk right when I want it, I might get a little sooky, but it’s just because I’m so excited for my walk! My foster mum says I’m a dream on the lead and have a loose leash most of the time, though I can get a bit excited and pull if I see other dogs running off leash—I just want to play too! As much as I love walks I’m a creature of comfort too. I love sleeping during the day and night in the comfiest beds you’ll give me.
I’m currently living with one other greyhound, my foster sister, we don’t play much but we get along great! I’m also good with other dogs, even small ones, and kids too. I’m very gentle and placid except for when I’m doing zoomies in the yard - I just get so excited and I’m fast and heavy so watch out! I get along well with male dogs out on walks, but my foster mum says I can get a little TOO excited with them so a dog sister may be best. I love humans more than dogs so I could be okay as an only child as long as you’re home most of the time - I have too much energy to be left all day every day and naturally I don’t like being alone!
I’m a pro at jumping in and out of the car and love going on adventures! But I don’t like when you get in the car and leave me behind! If my foster pawrents leave without me, I might get a bit dramatic, but I’ll settle down once I know you’ll always come back.
My perfect pawrents would be an energetic person or family, work from home or retired. As long as you can keep up with my love of walks, have enough time for me, and you love cuddles.. I’m one happy fella! I can’t wait to find my perfect family and share all the love I have to give!
