Pongo

Meet Pongo, a sweet and affectionate young boy with a cheeky personality and a playful spirit. Though he may initially feel uncertain in new environments, Pongo quickly warms up, looking to his handler for reassurance and guidance. His playful nature shines through, especially when he's enjoying his favorite squeaky toys, which he happily plays with on his own.

Pongo is an energetic dog with a short attention span and a tendency to get easily aroused. He would benefit from some basic training, particularly around calming down and learning cues like "four paws on the ground." His ideal home would be calm and structured, providing him with the routine and stability he needs to feel secure.

Pongo can be a bit anxious when left alone, so he would thrive in a home where someone is home often or can gradually work on helping him feel more comfortable when left by himself. He's truly a kind dog, and his gentle nature makes him a joy to be around. Pongo would do best in a home with older children who can be part of his training and help him settle in.

While Pongo enjoys meeting other dogs and is social and playful with them, he would need to meet any potential dog siblings at the time of adoption to ensure a good match! He is quite tolerant of other dogs.

Pongo has a high prey drive and should be placed in a home without birds or small pets, as he's shown an interest in chasing pigeons.
