About Bella, the greyhound
If you are interested in Bella, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/kpSn4PdsS2Uc7gDt6
Meet Bella, the sweetest greyhound with a heart as soft as her demeanor. Despite being initially cautious around loud noises and new faces, Bella's genuine affection shines through once she gets to know you. She’s a gentle soul who's looking for a new family that will delight in her loving nature and offer her the patience she needs to blossom.
Bella’s lifestyle is adaptable, making her well-suited for both apartments and houses, as long as she gets her regular walks. She is perfectly content as an only pet but would be delighted to share her home with other dogs. Her canine interactions are warm and friendly, earning her furry companions everywhere she goes. However, Bella is best without cats or smaller pets due to her prey drive. Her sharp intelligence is matched by her sweet personality, and she loves exploring and sniffing around during her daily escapades.
While she can be apprehensive with new people at first, Bella is fantastic with children and is toilet trained, gracefully managing alone time of up to 6 hours without any fuss. Her impeccable manners on a leash make her a delightful walking companion, although she will occasionally pull when startled or when trying to avoid new people who make her nervous at first. Busy city walks don't deter her entirely; with a bit of support, Bella navigates urban life at her own pace, happily sniffing along as she struts her unique charm.
For new pet owners, Bella is relatively easy to manage, needing just a consistent routine to thrive. Her need for routine means she'll sweetly remind you when it's time for her walk or her next meal, and her adorable tooth chattering in excitement when she's ready for a walk is bound to bring a smile to your face.
Bella’s serene nature is a comforting presence. She enjoys lounging comfortably at home, and her calm energy means she settles quickly into peaceful napping sprints. Through her journey, she emerged as a courageous trooper after surgery to remove a tumor, which only added to her endearing quirks and heartwarming smile. She’s steadily discovering the joy of toys and play, a testament to her blossoming confidence.
With Bella, love and patience reward you tenfold in affection and loyalty. She is a delightful, laid-back companion who promises to fill your home with affection and joy. Give Bella the peaceful, loving environment she deserves, and she will grace your life with her gentle sweetness and bright spirit.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.

Medical notes
Bella came into foster care with a low grade mast cell tumour on her nose.
She received one round of chemo to reduce the size of the tumour before it was successfully removed. The margins came back clear and the mitotic count was zero.
