About Tilly - 2.5 Year Old Dachshund X
Meet Tiny Tilly – The 2 and ½ year old 3.3kg Miniature Dachshund x
Tilly is a small dog with a giant personality! At just 3.3kg this little pocket rocket is equal parts energy and charm. A spunky mix of Miniature Dachshund with perhaps Chihuahua or miniature Fox Terrier, she's a perfect balance of playful, loyal, and affectionate.
Tilly is the kind of dog who is always ready for adventure! Whether it's a brisk walk, a run at the park with her pack or a game of fetch inside, she loves to be on the go as long as it’s with you. She's a tiny dynamo with a heart full of love and loyalty. She will follow you from room to room and is always ready for a warm lap as soon as you sit down – she might be small, but her love is mighty. She is still learning the basics of sit and recall so will need continued positive training.
Tilly would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. While she’s small in size, she’s got a lot of energy to burn, so a walk a day and time for play will keep her happy. She’ll make a wonderful companion for someone who has time to play with her and who also loves a snuggle. Tilly gets along well with other dogs and people but she’ll need a bit of time to warm up to new environments and routines. She can be timid with new experiences, so someone who has the time to crake new experiences positive for her . Tilly came into her foster home with some emotional and physical scars from her previous life, but with love, time and positive experiences she has decompressed and is gaining confidence and trust. She has thrived on a fresh food diet and her coat is now healthy and shiny.
She would do best in a home with a small garden but needs to be allowed inside whenever she wants, true to her breed she is not a huge fan of grass, but will go outside to chase water from the hose. Tilly is used to human company, so someone home more often than not would suit her best. She could live happily with another small dog and enjoys the occasional play with her foster doggie siblings, but it is human attention she needs the most, so she’d be ok being an only dog with a human home for company. She has not been tested with cats, birds or pocket pets. Tilly would prefer kids over 12 and a home where she’s treated as a family member with lots of love, attention, and perhaps even a space in the human bed for her to sleep. We’d love her to continue her fresh food diet.
