About Charlie-Lou STA013002
Meet Charlie-Lou, a delicate and sweet-natured guy who is looking for a very special home. While initially reserved, Charlie-Lou holds the promise of blossoming into a cherished companion once he feels safe and secure. This very shy guy requires a calm and structured environment free from the hustle and bustle of children or lively dog companions.
Charlie-Lou needs a gentle introduction to his new surroundings, so patience will be rewarded as he gradually grows comfortable and begins to express affection in his own endearing ways. Though he does startle easily, his playful spirit shines through in moments of joy as he entertains himself with his collection of toys.
While not much of a lap cat just yet, Charlie-Lou has a keen curiosity about the humans around him, keeping a watchful eye on daily activities. He’d do best as an indoor-only cat to ensure his safety and comfort. Maintaining his litter tray with clumping litter is a must, as he is great with his litter box and appreciates a tidy space.
Charlie-Lou is in foster care, if you would like more information about him or wish to meet him please contact our Foster Care Co-Ordinator’s -Email foster@catprotection.com.au
From his foster home -
Charlie is quite timid and is easily frightened by any sudden movements or unfamiliar noises. He enjoys pats but prefers to approach you rather than you moving towards him. He loves to play and is quite energetic in the mornings, galloping around the house. He also likes to tuck himself away for some quiet time and to sleep. He hasn’t demonstrated any interest in sleeping on the bed or sitting on a lap during the time he’s been in foster care. He is very well-behaved and isn’t demanding for food.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
