About Pumpkin
Hey there!
I'm Pumpkin a wrinkly but obedient and lovable goofball looking for my forever home!
I've a big heart and even bigger personality. Whether it's playtime at the park or cuddling on the couch, I'm ready to fill your life with joy and laughter.
Personality:
Goofy: I love to entertain with my silly antics! From playing with my toys, to chasing a ball, to learning new tricks. I know how to keep things fun.
I adore belly rubs and cuddles. Once you meet me, you'll be smothered in love! In my previous home I lived with a young child and adored having a big/little sister in my world. I promise I am the most patient baby sitter - Just like Nana from Peter Pan.
I'm a social butterfly and get along great with kids and other medium to large dogs. We'd love a home where we can make new friends! I am however seeking a residential home away from farm fencing and livestock.
I am house-trained, know all the basic commands (sit, stay, paw, laydown), and walk exceptionally on a leash. I love to show off my skills! I have excellent listening skills so raising your voice will not be required.
I enjoy long walks, runs, and playtime in the yard. A home with a big yard or access to parks would be a dream!
Despite my size, I am a gentle giant. I'm not jumpy and are very mindful of my surroundings.
Ideal Home:
Active Family: I'd thrive in a home with an active lifestyle. I love on lead outdoor adventures!
Fenced Yard: A secure outdoor space in a residential area would be ideal, a family whom liked to adventure would be perfect for me to make opportunities to play and explore.
To book a meet and greet with Pumpkin please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
