š¾ Meet Aussie: Your Perfect Companion! š¾
Aussie is a wonderfully adaptable greyhound whoās equally at home in an apartment, duplex, or house. Heās currently living in a duplex and enjoys a mix of indoor comfort and occasional time in the sun. While he loves affection and would thrive as a solo dog, Aussie has shown he gets along beautifully with other dogs, including his current housemate and a visiting āonly-childā greyhound.
When it comes to alone time, Aussie is a star. Heās been left alone for up to five hours without any issues, staying calm and content. He doesnāt display separation anxiety and is happy to do his own thing while youāre out. Around kids, Aussieās energy is playful but manageableāhe doesnāt jump but has an endearing habit of running up the hallway and sliding to a stop. Older kids who can handle his occasional bursts of energy would be the best match.
Aussie is a calm sleeper who loves curling up on the bed (usually sideways, so be ready to share!). Heās curious about human food but is learning good table manners and isnāt possessive about resources. On walks, Aussie is an absolute dream. Heās calm, curious, and doesnāt react to people, dogs, or even kangaroos. Heās still building road sense, but his overall behavior on the lead is exceptional.
Toileting is no issue for Aussieāheās great at holding it overnight and settles quickly with a pre-bedtime trip outside. While he hasnāt had much experience in busy city settings yet, heās handled new environments with ease, showing no fear or reactivity.
Aussieās gentle and affectionate nature makes him an excellent choice for new dog owners. He requires no special training and loves hugs, often tapping you with his paw if he isnāt done cuddling yet. Heās independent when needed but deeply loyal and adores being with his people. His only areas for improvement are resisting the kitchen bin and mastering his table manners, but these are minor quirks in an otherwise perfect companion.
Thereās so much to love about Aussieāfrom his snuggles during movie nights to his calm, loving demeanor. Heās ready to find his forever home and become someoneās best friend. Could that be you? š¾ā¤ļø
