About Willow - 1 Year Old German Shepherd (trial 23/2)
Meet Willow: The Playful, Loving German Shepherd Who’s Ready to Find Her Forever Home!
Willow is a 1-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a zest for life! This sweet, playful pup is ready to find her forever family, and she's looking for someone who can appreciate her love for tennis balls, adventures, and endless cuddles.
Though Willow’s past has been tough, she’s a true survivor. Arriving at her foster home at just 6 months old, Willow came from a place of abuse and trauma, including an injury to her eye that required removal in July 2024. But Willow doesn’t let her past define her—she’s a resilient girl with a bright, positive attitude. While she has a slight impairment in her vision on one side, she navigates with incredible agility and balance, and her love for playtime has never slowed down! Whether it’s chasing a tennis ball or exploring the yard, Willow is always up for fun and a good challenge.
This affectionate girl is still learning how to interact politely with other dogs and can get a bit overexcited at times. Willow would thrive in a home where she’s the only dog or with a confident canine companion who can match her energy and show her the ropes. She’s a smart cookie, and her quick learning skills mean she’s already come so far with her socialisation, thanks to regular trips to the dog park where she’s met dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages.
Willow’s ideal day includes a walk on her Halti (she’s a dream to walk), a game of fetch, and a snuggle session at the end of the day. At home, you’ll often catch her carrying a tennis ball around, dropping it at your feet with a look that says, “Play with me!” She’s also a pro at entertaining herself with treat puzzles, buried treasures in a sandbox, or a good bone to chew.
Whether you’re working from home, running errands, or out with the kids, Willow is content to hang out on her dog bed and sleep soundly through the night. She’s house-trained, adaptable, and fine being left for a few hours during the day as long as she has a cozy spot and a little shade when outside.
Willow’s journey has not been easy, but her loving and gentle nature is a testament to how far she’s come. She’s ready to leave her past behind and find a family who will give her the stability, patience, and love she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, and resilient companion, Willow is the perfect match for you!
Willow is waiting to meet you and begin the next chapter of her happy, tail-wagging story.
Will you be the family to give her that happily-ever-after?
