NOTE: You are unable to meet Snoozer until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Snoozer in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats, pocket pets or fowl that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown.
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited, I get very bouncy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
• I need to be the only dog at home. I am ok to be around other dogs when out & about on a walk, at the beach etc. however I am not interested in interacting with them


Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being bouncy
• No other dogs - I don't mind passing them and saying hi when out and about but I do not have much tolerance for them
• Small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet
• Unsure in new situations – more socialising is needed
• I love my food so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I need further training on my recall as I can ignore you if you're trying to call me back to you
• I can be a bit bouncy - training should stop this
• I've only just learnt to walk on the lead since being at the shelter so I'm still a bit erratic but lots of walks will help me learn how to be great on the lead.
• I can sometimes initially be shy. It doesn't take long for me warm up and my excitable & full of life nature to come out.
• I am scared of thunder & fireworks. I will require a safe space to retreat to during these events as well as comfort and reassurance from my family.
