About Rhubarb
Say hello to Rhubarb, also fondly known as Rhu or Rupert, a radiant bird bursting with character and charm. This stunning sunshine boy boasts a vibrant array of feathers, having recently completed his adult moult. While he may have an overgrown underbeak, Rhubarb doesn't let this affect his zest for life. He's in great health, having undergone screening for PBFD and Chlamydia, and has a clear bill of health with a clean faecal test. He is also microchipped.
Rhubarb has been living in a spacious indoor cageless bird room for the past eight months, and he's become particularly fond of one of the "blue brothers." While he’s not one for handling, he is gentle and an ideal candidate for a bustling aviary or a cosy bird room.
Despite his beak deformity, Rhubarb is able to eat normally and spends time chewing on his toys.
If you’re looking for a colourful and spirited addition to your feathered family, Rhubarb could be the perfect match. This gorgeous bird promises to bring a touch of the rainbow to your home with his vibrant personality and dazzling colours.
Rhubarb's adoption come with a vet consult to set up an account for you and for you to ask any questions about his beak.
Medical notes
Overgrown underbeak that requires trimming a few times a year by an avian vet
Adoption details
Our adoption process starts with a conversation and a series of questions through email. This allows us to get to know you and your home, and helps us to find the perfect fit.
Once we have picked out a bird for you, there will be a four week foster period where you will trial your new family member. If things don't work out, we can either trial another bird in your home or we can offer a return of adoption fee.
If your new bird fits in well and you wish to be their forever home, then all is well!
