About Hades
Looking for a loyal companion who's eager to please and full of personality? Hades, a 17-month-old Jack Russell Terrier, is the little guy you've been waiting for!
Despite a small quirk in his step-Hades has luxating patellas (moving kneecaps)-this playful fella doesn't let it slow him down! Occasionally, he'll hop on three legs, but our vets aren't too concerned at this stage. His zest for life is contagious, and he's always ready to show off his joyful spirit.
Hades is a social butterfly, absolutely loving time with people and other dogs. He's incredibly eager to please and would benefit from some extra training to help him become the well-mannered pup we know he can be. He's already mastered the basics and learns quickly, so with a little time, he'll be the perfect addition to your home.
This little gentleman is looking for a family who will appreciate his charm, patience, and playful nature. If you're ready for a pup who will not only leave an impression on your couch but also steal your heart, Hades is waiting for you!
Are you ready to welcome this sweet soul into your world? Hades can't wait to meet you!
To book a meet and greet with this gorgeous boy Hades please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
