About Dakota
Currently in GEELONG, VICTORIA, Dakota (affectionately known as Koda) is the absolute bundle of joy everyone needs in their life. She is a playful young little girl who loves to run around and play but also loves nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch with her human and have a little nap.
Koda is a 7 month old Kelpie x staffy and her siblings are all adopted - it just leaves her!
She is a stage five clinger and wherever you are is where she wants to be and she can never be close enough, if she could climb inside your skin she probably would - next level velcro pup if you are looking for your best mate!
She is extremely food motivated and knows that she needs to sit before she is able to receive her dinner so further training will be an absolute breeze. It helps that she has the kelpie smarts.
She is amazing with other dogs and has learnt a lot from her older foster brother in the house as well as being good with cats but will need a dog tolerant cat as she will try to round the cats up.
She would be best suited to a house with children over 9 as she is quite an excitable and may knock a little one over in her excitement.
She is toilet trained, crate trained - no pocket pets or birds unless you can keep separate.
Walking will need ongoing training. She gets extremely excitable at first and will make you think “oh god here we go” but she quickly settles after a couple houses 🙂
She will tug at the leash at first as well so she now gets a toy to hold while her foster carer walks her and she seems to really enjoy that.
If you are looking for a gorgeous, loyal companion then Koda is the one. She is desexed, c5 vaccinated, microchipped and has a clean bill of health.
