About Ray, the cat tolerant greyhound
If you are interested in Ray, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/kpSn4PdsS2Uc7gDt6
Meet Ray, the affectionate and loving greyhound who's a bundle of joy, ready to find his new family. Ray is an adaptable and trainable pup who loves nothing more than cozying up to his human friends with plenty of snuggles to offer. While fond of lounging indoors, he can live comfortably in either an apartment or a house, with his mellow nature making him a great companion regardless of your setup.
Ray has a sweet spot for socialising, especially with other hounds and medium to large dogs. His gentle and easygoing demeanor would suit new dog owners perfectly. Though he appreciates company and can get a bit clingy, he’s well-behaved. He's been left alone for up to four hours with no issues, just napping away the time in his crate.
He has a zest for playtime but due to onset of arthritis, longer walks may be too demanding for him at the moment. However, his love for toys knows no bounds. Whether it's tossing around a sock or chasing his precious toys, Ray’s playful spirit is truly infectious. Though he does exhibit some resource guarding with toys and socks, he’s quick to trade them for something better.
Ray is a confident soul. His lead manners are impeccable, and he’s learning basic commands like sit and lay down with ease. While he's not deterred by the hustle and bustle of city life, he isn’t fond of rainy days or fireworks. Families, especially those with older kids due to his boisterous nature, would relish in his outgoing qualities.
For those seeking a friendly companion with an abundance of love to share, Ray is your pup! This cat-tolerant greyhound will bring joy to any family, always ready for a gentle back-leg massage, a sunny spot on cold tiles, and someone to snuggle with on the couch. He would love to have his own cuddlepillar one day!
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.

Medical notes
Ray recently had a dental procedure that included the extraction of a canine tooth. There was a small complication that required a second surgery to fix a healing issue, but don’t worry—it’s all sorted now, and his smile is good as new!
Ray had a small racing injury that has led to a touch of arthritis. We’ve taken every precaution, including X-rays, to ensure there’s nothing more serious going on. He’s doing great and enjoys gentle massages to keep him feeling his best!
