About Lola (Located Templestowe)
Have you heard the news? Miss Lola is ready to find her forever home!
Now, Lola is a bundle of joy with a zoom feature that’s second to none! She loves spending her days running, playing, and socializing with both humans and other animals. Lola has a heart full of love and is ready to share it with a family who will cherish her.
When playtime ends, lovely Lola enjoys snuggling up in bed next to her humans, purring herself to sleep. This sweet, resilient girl is looking for a home that will offer her the love, care, and playtime she so deserves. (With another young feline friend would be a happy bonus)
Lola's story is one of resilience and hope. Born with a severe case of Pectus excavatum (Funnel Chest), surviving to 12 weeks of age was uncertain. In fact, she’s the only one of her litter to make it this far. Thanks to the generous support of kind-hearted donors, Lola was able to receive the life-saving surgery she needed. Her sternum was surgically repositioned, allowing her lungs to expand and her playful spirit to shine through. She is a true champion with the most magical loving personality imaginable.
She is an absolute beauty and her special gentle soul shines through at all times. Her new best friend will have the most precious, playful and loving companion imaginable. Are you ready to welcome Lola into your heart and home? You will be smitten with this wonderful kitten.
She can’t wait to meet you!
Medical notes
Lola was born with a severe case of Funnel Chest (Pectus excavatum).
Her sternum has been surgically repositioned, to allow her lungs (and stomach) to expand; and allow for normal activity.
She can now run and play for hours on end, eat large portions of food and rarely needs to stop for a rest.
She continues to breath with abdominal effort, her lungs are a smaller size than the average cat her age and her ribcage is still an abnormal shape. However, her vets are confident she can now live a long and happy life.
It is recommended Lola remain indoor only, with air-conditioning available on hot days.
She requires no medications or further treatment at this time.
