About Poppy
Meet Poppy! Poppy is a special little girl who came into care in a trap and is slowly learning to trust humans. Once she trusts you, she rolls lovingly around when being brushed, patted and scratched. She is happy to be picked up and have short cuddles, and is starting to play with other kittens and toys. She will need a very patient, quiet family who will give her time and space until she gets to know you, then she will be a very loving kitten. Poppy will need to be kept indoors as she is very timid, particularly in new situations. Her carer is available to help talk you through the best way to introduce Poppy into your home! Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
