About Joan
"JOAN with an angel's spirit and a warrior's heart".
Allow us to introduce to you a particularly unique individual instilled with an angel’s spirit and a warrior’s heart.
Joan (other names include Joan Of Arc, Joan Jett, JJ, the list goes on) is our very special Catahoula Leopard mix.
At a spritely almost 12 months of age, Joan is a fun loving and inquisitive little lady with a big (goofy) personality.
Being partially blind and hard of hearing, Joan will thrive after a slow and patient introduction to her new home, friends and family.
With her 4 long, lanky limbs and playful nature, Joan is strong for her age and although she loves children, we recommend ages 10 or older. She enjoys lounging on the couch (like the rest of us) cuddling with her humans, going for walkies and snuggling in her bed.
Joan is an affectionate puppy who suffers from some separation anxiety and is currently on short-term medication while she searches for her forever home.
At a recent play date, Joan noted that she would thrive in a household with a doggy friend whom has similar large puppy energy, though would prefer one without cats.
When asked for further comment on her issue with cats, she returned to her bed and our translator expressed that the meeting was over. haha.
We LOVE Joan and want to keep her with us forever, but we know her forever home is out there and cannot wait to see this unique and gorgeous lady blossom in her right setting!.

Medical notes
Joan has been on Fluoxetine (anxiety medication) for 3 months now and this has really helped with her transition into a longer term foster home.

We will then arrange a day and time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If all goes well, we will have you sign an adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee and take home your newest addition for a two week trial period.
If during the trial period, you decide that this is not the right animal for your family, we can arrange for the animal to be returned to us and you will receive a full refund.
After the trial period, the animal may still be returned at any time but there will be no refund.
