Meet Midnight,
About: Midnight is a happy, friendly (and sometimes delightfully aloof) girl who is looking for a loving home to call her own. Midnight's curious and playful nature means that every day with her will be an adventure. She’s full of enthusiasm, making her an excellent choice for active individuals or families who enjoy getting out and about.
While she’s a social butterfly who loves meeting both humans and other dogs, Midnight also has an affectionate side and will happily settle in for cuddles at the end of a fun-filled day. Her excitable and bouncy moments are all part of her charm, so she’ll thrive with owners who are ready to embrace her vibrant personality.
Suitable for first-time pet owners, Midnight is adaptable and will fit in beautifully with any household environment. If you’re ready for a loyal, sweet, and eager-to-please dog, Midnight is waiting to meet you!
Ideal Home: Midnight is best suited to live in a standalone home or farm/acerage, with a medium to large yard & high, secure fencing.
Midnight is the kind of dog who can happily spend her time outdoors or relax indoors. She enjoys being around people but is also content being on her own, too.
Family: Midnight is open to meet kids from 8 years & up - she is such a friendly dog, but she doesn't know her size & may accidently knock smaller kids over. If she were to live with younger kids, we would be open to it, providing that they are dog savvy.
Midnight is fine to live with people who work full-time hours.
Furry Friends: Midnight is open to meet dogs. During her dog assessment Midnight was excited to meet the other dog but respectful when she played & interacted. Sniffs were exchanged & both dogs enjoyed playing with each other. Midnight became very bouncy during the assessment as she was very happy to make a new friend. Midnight also previously lived with another dog.
As we cannot test, we are unsure how Midnight would go living with cats/pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Training & Development: Midnight would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience. Group classes would also be good for Midnight, not so much for her to 'learn' how to be with other dogs, but just for the social aspect - she is already social & these groups will mean that her social skills won't get stale. With additional training, Midnight could be the type of dog that you could take to a dog friend café or social event.
Midnight knows her name & knows commands such as: sit, down & crawl. Midnight is food motivated, and she will always take treats from you gently, too.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Midnight has mid to high-range energy needs & would benefit from walking, play, or exercise from 30-60mins per day to keep her happy & satisfied. Midnight enjoys playing with toys - all toys! She also loves to engage in personal play with her handlers & going for walks.
Midnight walks well on a lead with minimal pulling, and she is best to be walked on a collar or harness.
Staff Comments: Midnight is a sweet & friendly dog who is suitable for first time owners. She is engaging and melts into you. She is happy to play with toys but absolutely craves attention & affection from her human friends.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
