About Lysander
AVAILABLE FROM FEBRUARY 2025 - ENQURIES WELCOME
Meet Lysander, a bright and cheerful budgie with a zest for life. Available from February 2025, Lysander is eagerly awaiting a new home where he can spread his wings and share his remarkable resilience and charm with a caring family. His days are filled with delightful chirps and chatters, filling the room with music that is sure to bring joy and warmth to your heart.
Lysander has come a long way. After a traumatic incident in November 2024, he has healed remarkably. A raven injured him as he lived in an outdoor cage, and his mate was gone when his previous owners came outside. With his vibrant feathers growing back beautifully and his feet now healed, Lysander is ready to embark on a new chapter surrounded by love and companionship. This social butterfly thrives on interaction and is looking for an indoor-only home with at least one other budgie friend to share his lively chatter.
If you have a cozy indoor home, Lysander would be a wonderful addition to your life.
Enquiries are welcome, Lysander is apart of the group of intakes that were treated for Chlamydia Psittaci and should be ready to go to a new home in February 2025.
Located in Carrum Downs or Scoresby
Medical notes
Lysander was attacked by a raven in November 2024. He is missing 3 digits on his right foot, but is still able to perch and climb.
Adoption details
Our adoption process starts with a conversation and a series of questions through email. This allows us to get to know you and your home, and helps us to find the perfect fit.
Once we have picked out a bird for you, there will be a four week foster period where you will trial your new family member. If things don't work out, we can either trial another bird in your home or we can offer a return of adoption fee.
If your new bird fits in well and you wish to be their forever home, then all is well!
