Hi, I'm Hank!

I'm a smart, loyal guy looking for my forever home where I can be your best friend and companion. I'm a typical working breed - I'm very intelligent, which means I love learning new things, and I'm always up for hanging out with my human. I'm pretty calm, easy to handle, and I've got great manners. I walk nicely on the lead and stay focused when we're out and about.

Now, I'll admit, I'm a bit socially awkward when I first meet new dogs. I tend to approach them directly, and I know my intense eyes can be a little overwhelming for some. Unfortunately, this can sometimes get me a negative reaction from other dogs, so I need to take things slow when meeting new friends. If you already have a dog in the home, I'd probably do best with a calm, social female who can help me feel comfortable and show me the ropes.

While I'm generally pretty easygoing, I'd also recommend a home with older children as I would feel more comfortable with children that understand when I need space.
