About Bruno
Introducing Bruno
This is Bruno, a handsome, big-hearted Staffy with a story that started with heartbreak but is now brimming with hope. You might remember him as #123 at the rural country pound where he was facing a very uncertain future. He and his sister, abandoned at a railway station with nothing but their collars and vaccination certificates, were left to fend for themselves.
But thankfully, Bruno’s story doesn't end there. He was rescued by us at The Village and is now thriving in foster care in Morayfield. Since arriving, this brave boy has been desexed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is up to date on all his flea and worm treatments. Bruno is a solid boy, weighing in at 27kg, with a whole lot of love to give.
We know Bruno's past was painful, but we are so proud of the wonderful dog he is today. He's a joyful, playful soul, always eager for a game. He’s a true toy enthusiast – whether it’s a squeaky chew toy, a bouncing ball, or even a humble stick, he’s happy. He loves charging around the garden, chasing the hose and sticks with unbridled enthusiasm. He's polite with other dogs, especially enjoying the company of female companions, but his heart truly belongs to his humans. He seems to have an innate ability to sense "dog people" and bonds quickly, offering the most adorable bear hugs you can imagine.
Bruno also has a surprisingly calm and stable side. He's not easily fazed by storms or fireworks, travels well in the car, and is a perfect gentleman at the vet clinic, much loved by the vet nurses. He's independent enough to entertain himself in the garden, happily exploring and contemplating the world around him.
He walks well on a lead (with just a bit of occasional pulling) and was an absolute star when he joined foster mum for an outing to an outdoor cafe with no issues. He even met a male neighbour recently and was nothing but friendly, tail wagging like crazy!
He's a smart cookie, often lost in his own world considering life carefully and thoughtfully. He's truly a dog that's easy to fall deeply in love with.
Of course, like any young, energetic dog, Bruno has his quirks. He's definitely a chewer and this will need to be managed with appropriate toys and enrichment. He also has some separation anxiety, something we will continue to work on and that his new family will need to be mindful of. Being a Staffy, he is full of youthful energy that will require daily activity and stimulation for a happy content life.
Despite these minor challenges, Bruno is a truly exceptional dog. He is a survivor who’s ready to leave his past behind and embrace a future filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
If you can offer Bruno the forever home he so desperately deserves, we please get in touch with us and tell us all about yourself and the amazing life you could share with this incredible boy. We can’t wait to find Bruno his perfect match – a family who will cherish his playful spirit, understand his needs, and give him the love and security he has been longing for.
Brunos adoption fee is $595 and he is in foster care at Morayfield
