About Rocket
Rocket's start to life has been anything but easy!
He suffered a broken leg and was surrendered due to the cost of transporting him to Cairns as there is no vet in the Torres Strait.
He had his broken leg pinned and has made a full recovery!
With his newfound mobility, Rocket decided to find and try eating a rock for dinner... which lead to an X-ray revealing a tear in his diaphragm! Having just recovered from his leg surgery, he underwent any other surgery to ensure he could go back to being a normal doggo!
After such a rough start and some healing, his real personality is starting to shine. He's a loving little fellow, and gives plenty of hugs and kisses to everyone he meets. He's curious and eager to learn, he has been learning sit and stay. Now that he feels so much better he is very motivated by treats and he loves toys, he has a teddy he loves to carry around with him.
Rocket is a real character and will make you laugh and smile with delight.
His foster carer says he is a quick learner and is eager to please. He rarely barks and loves a good bone to munch on.
He is desexed, microchipped, wormed and loves the vet and vet nurses.
Rocket is available for interstate adoption at adopters expense.
After all of this Rocket is in desperate need of a loving home and promises to be the best boy ever! Please contact Thursday Island Animal Support Group Inc - via facebook or by email tiasginfo@gmail.com
