About Kit Kat SUA013162 & Felix SUA013161
Introducing Kit Kat and Felix, a charming and sweet bonded pair who share a deep and beautiful connection. They have a symbiotic relationship, relying on each other for comfort and companionship. With Kit Kat, a lovely 7-year-old female, and Felix, her laid-back 5-year-old male companion, they’re already a perfect feline family package ready to bring warmth and joy to their new home.
Kit Kat is an absolute darling. Her polite and easygoing nature makes her a delightful addition to any home. While she enjoys the companionship of other felines, she's equally content spending time alone, letting peace and serenity fill her world. Kit Kat will let you know when she's ready for a cuddle and will gradually share more affection as she becomes familiar with you. She has an endearing habit of finding high perches when she needs space from Felix, knowing he won’t follow her there.
Felix, on the other hand, prefers a more relaxed lifestyle, content with chilling out in his favourite spots. He's incredibly loving to his human companions, often engaging with gentle head bops that convey his affection. Though not overly active, Felix’s charm lies in his quiet presence and tender loyalty.
A home that is tranquil and without children or canine companions would be the perfect environment for this amicable duo. Kit Kat and Felix will require some time to feel settled in their new abode, but with patience and understanding, their delightful personalities will soon blossom.

Medical notes
Felix -
During routine examinations at CPS, a heart murmur was detected. Studies of heart murmurs in cats have been limited but have shown approximately 20% of randomly selected, apparently healthy cats will have a heart murmur. (The Cat, S. Little, 2012)
50% of cats with heart murmurs do not have identifiable cardiac disease and live comfortable lives for many years. In contrast, some cats have heart disease but do not have a murmur. Some murmurs are transient (which means they come and go). This occurs most often with fear or stress and is generally not associated with any structural heart disease.
Kit Kat -
Bilateral Medial Luxating Patellas (MLP)
Kit Kat was examined and found to have bilateral medial luxating patella (MLPs). These are grade 1 MLPs, which means that the patellas (knee caps) stay mostly in the correct position within the groove of the knee joint, but can be luxated out of position with some pressure. When the knee caps luxate, they move towards the medial
(inside) aspect of the knee. When the hindlegs extend, the knee caps tends to move back into the correct position. Kit Kat does not appear to be clinically lame and weight bears on both hind legs well. However, it is hard to fully assess their gait and whether or not lameness will occur in a shelter situation as the cat is mainly in a confined space.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
