About Atreyu - 9 Week Old Jack Russell Terrier
Atreyu (from the “Never ending story”) is a contemplative little man who has a good life balance of play and peace. He likes to sit quietly next to you or on his own watch the world go by.
Atreyu is true to his breed and is lively, clownish, playful, athletic, intelligent, fearless and very energetic. He is your typical puppy who is learning his way through life, experimenting, tasting, and testing everything.
He can use the doggy door, use stairs up and down, he uses both puppy pad and he goes outside to toilet. He needs and loves to run around the large yard which tires him out nicely.
Atreyu wants and needs proper training; therefore, he must have a family or person fully committed to spending time with him and training him properly so he can be the best little dude ever.
He has a wash n wear smooth coat, and he will need his nails trimmed regularly.
Life expectancy up to 16 years.
Atreyu in brief:
Weight 1.7kg
Working on house training
Needs a safe and secure yard
Needs a family home often whilst he is a puppy
Kids over 8 please
Not tested on cats, bunnies’ birds etc
In his new home Atreyu would love:
- Fur friend, but not necessary.
- Doggy door to continue toilet training
- Yard to run and exercise in
- Daily walks
- Chew toys
- Healthy food
- A human who loves to snuggle, cuddle and kiss
Atreyu’s yard needs to be complete, ready for a puppy with permanent fixtures in place. The yard must be cleared of rubbish and choke hazards, with no small gaps in the fences or gates. Under the house must be blocked off, and no soft soil where he could dig out to escape. Please don’t underestimate the gap size a puppy can get through.
His adoption fee is $800 which includes desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
He is in foster care in Cameron Park NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
