Ruby - 11 Week Old Staffy X (On Trial)

Meet Ruby. Ruby is an 11-week-old female Staffy cross puppy.

She is an affectionate, sweet girl with a lot of puppy energy. Moreover, Ruby is incredibly smart, alert and eager to learn new things. Ruby found herself in a rural pound and had a rough start, but she shows so much potential to grow into an excellent family pet. Ruby has mastered using a dog door and going outside for the toilet just after she came into care. Her toilet training is going well, and she rarely has an accident. She started learning basic commands and understands how to sit and come. She's good for recall. She sleeps well through the night in a pen.

Because of her intelligence and physical strength, we believe she's part of a working dog breed. If you have the time and commitment to provide Ruby with the love and training she needs, she could be the perfect addition to your family.

Ruby is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. She has been very well socialised with dogs and gets along well with them all. She's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.

Ruby will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Ruby. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.

Ruby needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).

Ruby's adoption fee is $700 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.

Ruby is in foster care in Lemon Tree Passage, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 5 to 6 months old.
