About Arley - Adopted!
Adopted!
update!
16/5/11
well young arley is making an impression wherever she goes! even our vet said that were he in a position to, he would seriously consider adopting her himself! that's quite a recommendation!
arley has settled beautifully into foster care, and is an absolute joy to have around. She is very responsive and an absolute delight to watch while she explores and enjoys having a good size yard to run around in. 14/5/11
arley is a very sweet young girl, who is full of beans, but settles well for a cuddle (on your lap, if you'll let her) and once her initial excitement at meeting a new friend subsides, is relatively calm for her age and breed!
arley previously lived with other dogs, a cat and a bird, and while i've yet to cat test her myself, i have no reason to think she wouldn't be suitable for a home with cats, but will update her profile once i have cat tested her. The previous owner was told when she purchased her as a pup that she was a pure labrador, but i suspect that she has something else mixed in, as she is very small, and doesn't look pure to me, however she is a stunning girl, and has a very soft coat. While arley has basic training, (she can sit, drop and come when called at a minimum) she will only be available to a home that is committed to providing further training, and i would suggest that enrolling her in an obedience course would be very good for her. She has lived as an indoor/outdoor dog, and once given the training refresher she needs would be quite happy to spend quality time inside with her family. Arley will need daily walks, and would benefit from a harness or halti, rather than collar and lead, as she's quite strong for a little girl, but settles well once the initial excitement of going for a walk wears off!
updates will follow, as i get to know her better, but i think arley would make a wonderful family pet or a great companion for an active person
