About Dior
My name is Dior, and I'm a teeny-tiny staffy girl with a heart as big as my smile!
I'm playful, energetic, smart, and incredibly affectionate. I was rescued from rural NSW and made a long journey to Victoria, all in the hopes of finding my forever family.
While my early life is a bit of a mystery, I can tell you it wasn't easy. At just 4 years old, I've already had puppies and was found with awful skin allergies, infected ears, and painful ulcers on my paws, ears and belly. But thanks to my amazing rescuers, I'm now healing - both physically and emotionally.
I'll need a bit of extra care to keep thriving, like an anti-allergy diet and soothing spa treatments (Malaseb baths and coconut oil rubs are my favorite spa procedures!).
Here's a little more about me:
House-trained and crate trained: I can easily wait till you find time to walk me after my breakfast (my foster mum suggests I am a sleepy head and just like snoozing as long as possible). I'd love to have a secure spot in a cage where I can rest when I am tired.
Manners: I am a real lady and know how to sit and patiently wait for my meals to be served 🙂
Affectionate social butterfly: I greet everyone with hugs, kisses, and nonstop tail wags. I'd do best with kids over 5-6 years old, as I can get a little bouncy when I'm playing.
Lover of learning: My foster mum says I'm incredibly smart. I learn commands and rules quickly, especially when treats are involved! I'd love a family that will continue teaching me - learning is my favorite!
Toy enthusiast: I adore fluffy toys and can entertain myself when you're out. (Okay, I did accidentally de-fluff one tiger, but I'm usually very gentle!) Quiet and calm at home: I don't bark, cry, or destroy things when left alone. I do have some things I'm still working on.
Doggy social skills: I get so excited to meet other dogs that I bark and cry. My foster family is helping me with desensitization, and I'm making great progress! Careful introductions with friendly dogs will help me improve even more.
Confidence on walks: I might bark at scary strangers sometimes, but don't worry - nobody gets scared because I am tiny and cute. Oh, and did I mention I LOVE running? A daily jog would be the perfect way to keep me happy, healthy, and confident.
I haven't been fully tested with cats, but I've met a few during walks. I was curious but didn't try to chase or hurt them. I'm a loving soul who wants nothing more than a caring family to call my own. In return, I'll give you a lifetime of loyalty, joy, and unconditional love.
Please, will you be my forever family?
Love and kisses, Dior
