His affectionate nature is perfectly suited for someone who works from or around home, or perhaps even for those who love to travel and explore with a canine companion. His adaptability and loyalty will make every moment memorable, whether you’re planning your next adventure or spending a quiet evening at home.

Slinky is fantastic with other dogs, although he might indulge in a little barking when meeting new friends, as is typical for a dachshund. His social and playful spirit shines through once introductions are complete, making him an excellent companion for another friendly dog who enjoys a bit of playtime. Walking on a lead is a pleasure with Slinky, and he is comfortable and calm during car rides, ready for journeys both near and far.

While Slinky wasn't initially toilet trained, he's a quick learner and has adapted well to living indoors, even though he may still have the occasional misunderstanding in a new environment. His playful energy finds an outlet in his love for toys and chew treats, making home time delightful when you're around. Given his nature, he needs a secure fence and must be welcomed indoors as part of the family.
