Hello everyone, my name is Apollo and this is my story.
I was found wandering the streets before I was taken in by a kind couple who looked after me before I came to Silver Lining.
Firstly I am deaf and I also have many traits of a dog. Now let’s address my deafness. Does it hold me back me, no not at all. I keep my paws on the pulse in my foster home and I follow my family around, yes you guessed it, like a dog. I come running as soon as you enter a room and I will wait at the door for you until you come back. With visitors I am relaxed and interested .
Being especially affectionate, you haven’t seen anyone enjoy a chin scratch as much as I do. Crawling onto your lap or lying beside you on the bed to search for affection, you won’t ever have to wonder how much I adore you.
Apart from my people, I do have lots of affection for dogs . I live with 2 dogs and I lie with them ( if my people are busy) crawl over them and we dont mind sharing the occasional meal or two together. I do live with cats also and sometimes I can be selective with who I like to share my space with.
Think I sound like a fabulous new family member, you bet I am.
PLEASE NOTE: WEEKEND MEET AND GREETS ONLY DUE TO WORK COMMITMENTS ❤
If you would like to meet me please email the rescue at fostersadoptslpr@gmail.com or pm the Silver Lining Pet Rescue Inc facebook page.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
