About Yogi
**** To apply for Yogi please visit our website at www.animalrescue.org.au and complete the Adoption Enquiry Form ****
Yogi Bear is super sweet and very eager to please his people. Yogi is always up for a cuddle and enjoys being around other dogs too. He has taken well to lead training and loves going outside for a walk. Yogi is another one from the cavoodle bear trifecta.
He’s very smart and has quickly mastered basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘down’ which comes in handy as he will take any opportunity to jump into bed for a cuddle. He will shadow you throughout the house making training easy as he is always right next to you. Yogi is fully toilet trained (bonus!) and can use a doggy door and is a master of stairs.
Yogi lives with 3 other small foster dogs and loves their company. Yogi did show some separation anxiety initially, particularly if left home alone so another furry companion will be a great support and comfort for him. He distracts well with the use of frozen play mats and toys.
Yogi is fantastic with kids of all ages, and has been socialised with kids from 1 year up.
As Yogi as areas of alopecia he does get hot quicker than other dogs as he does not have that fur protection, so will need a home where he can be indoors for the most part - except for daily walks and play/toileting.
He is a very special boy, who has the loveliest of temperaments, and he deserves the most loving home. Yogi is microchipped, fully vaccinated and desexed.
Yogi's ideal home:
Mostly indoors with easy outdoor access
A furry friend would be ideal to help keep Yogi calm when you are out
Active and able to provide daily walks
Medical notes
Yogi has had fur loss in some areas of his body from birth. This does not cause him any issues (apart from not being in the sun/outdoor for periods of time) The vets have advised he should not lose any more hair and there are no health concerns.
