NOTE: You are unable to meet Blue until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Blue in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• I have previously lived with young children but I was not comfortable around them and would prefer a home without kids.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I’m always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• A quiet & mature family/household
• I enjoy the company of other dogs my own size but bigger dogs scare me
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• NO CATS, I have previously lived with a cat however would like to chase them
• Doggy daycare and group socialisation classes would be highly beneficial for me.
• I LOVE LOVE LOVE people but I do not like being left alone, someone who is home alot, includes me in daily activities or a doggie sibling to always be with is necessary for me.
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
• I have a high prey drive so I can't go to a home that already has cats, rabbits/guinea pigs or chickens/ducks as I will chase them

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No children, I used to live with young kids and i was never comfortable around them nor did i enjoy their antics.
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• Wiggle butt
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit, shake hands & stay
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I know my basic doggie commands
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I appear housetrained, I do have a few accidents every now and then. I was kept outside at my old home so I can sometimes pee inside by accident.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Loves to cuddle up on your lap.

Where I need to improve
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
