About Sky
Meet Sky, a very special Blue Merle Border Collie youngster whose sweet nature and joyous spirit will capture your heart.
Born on March 20, 2024, Sky stands out from the crowd for several reasons. Aside from her strikingly attractive coat and sparkling personality, she was born deaf and with full sight in only one eye. She's otherwise healthy.
But this happy-go-lucky girl lives life with the energy of a typical border collie, unfettered by her congenital challenges. Having known no other life, Sky is not held back by her disabilities and thrives in dog-friendly social circles. She is great with other dogs, but untested with cats.
Yes, adopting a deaf dog will require a little extra patience and dedication, but the rewards will be endless. Because deaf dogs rely on visual cues and touch, Sky's new family can expect Sky to stick close and bond firmly. She is even-tempered, loyal and eager to please, so she’ll be right by your side, sharing in life’s adventures and joys. Though her world may be quiet, Sky’s happiness and zest for life know no boundaries.
If you are ready for truly fulfilling companionship and prepared for some creative communication and training techniques, Sky will enrich your life with unmatched devotion and sweetness. The sky's the limit - no pun intended - when it comes to the joy she will bring into your home.

The mission of Deaf Dogs Rock is to support the general public by providing much needed education about caring for, training, and living with a deaf dog. You'll be inspired.
Medical notes
Sky was born deaf and is blind in one eye. She is otherwise healthy.
