About Rosie
Meet Rosie, a lovely two-and-a-half-year-old Dachshund with a heart full of love and a personality that's sure to steal yours. Though she might be a little timid upon first meeting, don't let her initial shyness fool you—Rosie blossoms into an outgoing and affectionate companion once she feels at ease.
Rosie is a typical Dachshund, lively and spirited, with a playful bark that will bring charm to your home. She thrives on treats and pats, so her ideal day includes plenty of both! Her love for small breeds makes her a friendly playmate, although she can be a bit wary when encountering larger dogs, so patience and gentle introductions are key. She has been known to show curiosity towards cats, remaining calm and curious when around them.
As a Dachshund, Rosie would excel in a home ready to gently guide her with lead training, helping her master her walks in the park and street strolls. When you take her on outdoor adventures, you'll find she is truly a joy to explore the world with. Though she is small in stature, her adventurous spirit makes up for it dramatically. Her petite size also makes her a great fit for any living situation, from apartments to houses with small gardens.
A treat in hand and a pat on her back will quickly win over her heart. If you're seeking a loving, pocket-sized companion who will thrive in a nurturing environment, Rosie is ready to become a cherished member of your family. She's eager to bring joy, companionship, and a splash of dachshund spunk into your life.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
