About Arika
Meet Arika
Hello there, potential forever family.
My name is Arika, and I’m a cheeky little 12-week-old mixed breed puppy on the lookout for my perfect human or humans.
I’ve been told I’m quite the character – a delightful blend of sweet, curious, and mischievous, with a sprinkle of puppy bravery and a dash of shyness.
I started my journey in a remote rural pound (who knew such places existed?) before making my grand entrance into The Village at just two weeks old.
My lovely little mum, Meekah, and my two sisters, Aroona and Alira, have been my partners in crime since day one.
My dad?
Well, that’s a bit of a mystery, but judging by my 10 kg of adorable chunkiness, he must have been quite the strapping lad!'
I’ve spent my early weeks with the wonderful Granny Elizabeth and now I’m having a blast on a farm with my fabulous foster mum, Toni.
This place is a wonderland!
I mean, grass!
At first, I wasn’t sure about it, but after a recent adventure of leaping over the long stuff like a gazelle (sort of), I’m starting to appreciate the great outdoors.
Oh, and let me tell you about the dam!
I thought I’d follow my big sister in for a swim, but, oops, down I went – under.
But don’t worry, I quickly figured out how to get myself back on dry land and gave my sister a look that clearly said, “How on earth did you do that?!”
I’ve also met a pig (no thanks, I’ll stay on this side of the fence) and a horse (why are you so big?).
Food is my love language – I simply adore it.
My foster mum thinks I have a nose for scent work, so I might just be the next canine superstar of agility. I mean, you should see me hunt down treats - Pure talent, I tell you.
I’m a real cuddle bug, ready to greet you with puppy kisses the moment you walk through the door or wake up in the morning.
My training is going well – I can sit and lay down like a pro, although I might express my dissatisfaction with a few barks if I don’t get my way.
I’m learning the ropes with this whole lead thing and even using the doggy door like a champ!
I’m still mastering toilet training and getting used to this crate situation, but I promise I’m trying my best.
I’m a social butterfly who loves playing tug of war and chasing my big foster sister.
But guess what? I’ve found my true calling in chasing and rounding up basketballs. Take that, sport!
If you’re looking for a curious companion who will snuggle on your foot or bed (yep, that’s my space now) and keep you entertained with her cheeky antics, I might just be the perfect match for you!
I’m microchipped, vaccinated to date, and ready for my forever home.
My adoption fee is $625, which includes desexing at our friendly vet when I’m about 6 months old.
If you think you could provide me with the wonderful life I’m dreaming of, I’d love to meet you!
Just send the team a message with a bit about yourself, and let’s see if we’re a match made in puppy heaven.
