About Amy
Meet Amy, a Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold!
Amy is a 1-year-and-2-month-old Maremma x Pyrenean Mountain Dog with a sweet and friendly nature. Initially a little timid, Amy has since warmed up and is now showcasing her gentle, affectionate side.
Amy is looking for an experienced home with someone who understands livestock guardian dog behavior. While she grew up on a farm, she was left to her own devices and didn't show a strong guardian drive, meaning she'll need guidance and training to help her reach her full potential.
Amy has displayed a soft and friendly approach to other dogs in the past, but over time, she's developed some barrier reactivity and frustration. When given the chance to interact, she has shown tension at first but quickly softened and engaged positively. She may be selective with the dogs she feels comfortable with, so ongoing training and careful introductions will be key.
Amy is a working breed dog and needs a home with acreage to explore.
Amy's ideal home will provide her with the structure, training, and love she needs to thrive.
If you're ready to invest in her journey, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty and companionship.
