Beautiful Benny – a sweet and gentle snuggle-bug....
Beautiful Benny – a sweet and gentle snuggle-bug….
Benny is a beautiful boy with a gentle and sweet nature. He is very
handsome with a soft brindle coat made for cuddles! The photos just
don’t do him justice.
He is good with dogs, people, and cats. He is a real snuggle bug with
such a lovely personality. He’s not aggressive at all and does not
resource guard his food, people or toys
His foster carer describes him as “gentle, affectionate and such a
good boy. He’s just pretty great.”
He currently lives with a Staffy buddy, two cats, and school aged
children and goes to work with his foster mum and is so well behaved.
He is crate trained, toilet trained and sleeps through the night. He is
great with the kids he lives with and LOVES the beach. He is good in the
car and knows sit.
He is very food motivated and isn’t a fussy eater, so can be trained
further to suit your household as he is still young.
He can be a bit timid but has gotten better is foster care and is trying
so hard to be brave while out and about. However, he can still get a bit
nervous and shy.
His ideal home would be with an older dog to show him the ropes and how
to interact with the world. He is quite flexible and can live with
children (school aged preferably, as he can be a bit bouncy) and other
animals such as cats. As long as he will be part of your family and
gently exposed to the world around him, he will give so much back in
love and affection. He is a truly wonderful young boy.
Thank you to Liv Morison of Liv Morison photography for the fantastic
photos of Benny.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Weight: 15.6kg.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
