Meet Moose – A Gentle Giant Looking for a Loving Forever Home
Moose is a sweet and affectionate dog who has come a long way since being rescued from death row. He arrived with signs of past abuse but is proving every day just how much love and trust he has to give. Though he can be timid at first, especially around men, once Moose knows he’s safe, his true, gentle nature shines through.
Temperament
Moose is a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. He is a social dog who loves his foster siblings—two adult dogs—and enjoys the company of teens in the home. He’s a big softie and a gentleman at heart. While he can be cautious in new situations and around new people, Moose quickly warms up when he feels secure. He thrives in a calm, loving environment where he can continue to grow in confidence. Moose is great with dogs and older kids, making him a wonderful family companion. He must live with other dogs to feel secure, as he gains comfort from their presence. Moose has not been tested with cats.
Health and Training
Moose has recently had his desexing, vaccinations, and a trip to the vet, which he wasn’t thrilled about, but he bounced back quickly and was back to his usual self the next day. He’s made amazing progress with his confidence—he’s more relaxed and no longer pacing or stressing, now enjoying peaceful naps with his foster siblings. While he still tends to be cautious when eating and looks over his shoulder, Moose is making steady strides in learning to trust. He’s accepting pats with less apprehension and is becoming more comfortable in his environment.
Ideal Home
Moose would thrive in a home with another dog, as he loves their company and finds comfort in their presence. He’s not yet been tested with cats. He’d be a great fit for a family with older children or teens who understand his need for space while he continues to adjust. Moose has made no attempt to escape his foster home, which has 4ft fencing, so he’s comfortable and secure in his environment. He needs an adopter who is patient, understanding, and willing to help him continue building trust. With time, he will reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection.
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful dog who will become a loyal and loving companion, Moose might just be the perfect fit for your family. Apply to adopt him today.

NEED TRANSPORT?
1. Apply to adopt per the above process.
2. Get quotes and select your desired transporter. We recommend Aeropets, Jetpets, and Dogtainers. Contact us for weights, height etc where needed. We also recommend Pet Waggin pet transport who can assist with road transport.
3. Message or email us to say you have applied and that you will require transport. Tell us which company and a potential departure date from that pet's nearest airport or meet point.
4. If your application is successful, we will lock in a date with you, coordinate any required 'fit to fly' certifications, a food delivery to your home, and appropriate training to make your new pet as comfortable on transport as possible.
5. All adoption contracts, adoption fees, and photo ID must be submitted to us via email before animal boards transport.
We will take into consideration the pet's ability to travel safely and comfortably before agreeing to send them on transport, and expect a high level of care from whatever company is engaged to move the animal.
