About Prancer
Meet Prancer, the star of the holiday season, who recently played a crucial role leading Mouse Santa's Sleigh through the wintry skies. Now that Christmas has come and gone, Prancer is looking for a new role to play in the world-until, of course, she's called back to her seasonal duties.
Prancer was a true leader, guiding the sleigh with grace and efficiency. Her sharp eyes and natural instincts made her the perfect fit for such a high-pressure task. Now that the holiday season is over, she's ready to step off the sleigh and into the hearts of a family who can provide her with the attention and love she deserves.
Prancer is a dignified yet playful cat with a knack for knowing when to seek attention and when to enjoy her own space. She may have a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to her duties, but once the workday is over, she's the perfect companion, ready to curl up on your lap or gently nudge you for a petting session. Prancer is known for her independence, but she also has a soft side, and she'll show you affection on her own terms.
Prancer would thrive in a home where she can have access to a cozy perch to observe the world (perhaps while pondering her next adventure), a few stimulating toys for occasional play, and plenty of quiet downtime. She may do well in a home with other pets, as long as they respect her space. As a former sleigh leader, she's used to being in charge, however in the off season she is on holidays and wants nothing more than to relax with her new family.
To book a meet and greet with this festive young cat, Prancer, please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
