Austin is the kind of kittie who seems to believe the world is full of friends he simply hasn’t met yet, and somehow, he convinces everyone else to believe it too. With his striking blue eyes that shimmer like azure rockpools in the sunlight, his playful spirit, and his endlessly affectionate nature, Austin has a wonderful way of making every day a little brighter.
From the very beginning, Austin was the adventurer of the litter. He was always the first to explore something new, the first to climb to the highest perch, and the first to introduce himself to anyone nearby. His curiosity is matched only by his enormous heart, and whether he’s investigating a new toy, chasing a piece of string, or happily entertaining himself before racing back for cuddles, Austin approaches life with joy and enthusiasm.
Affection is Austin’s love language. He adores people just as much as he adores his feline friends and will happily climb onto your chest for a cuddle or curl up beside you for a nap. He greets other cats with gentle nuzzles as though they’ve known each other forever, lovingly grooms his companions, and is never happier than when he’s snuggled into a warm pile with those he loves. Austin doesn’t simply enjoy company—he genuinely thrives on connection and being part of the family.
Despite being born in an abandoned laundry, Austin was beautifully raised by his devoted mum, Star, who gave all of her kittens the gentlest temperaments. Never once scratching or lashing out, they have grown into affectionate, well-socialised companions. Austin has grown up alongside other cats, rabbits, people, and the occasional child, adapting beautifully to each. While he is more than happy to be picked up and cuddled, what Austin treasures most is simply being close to those he loves. He would flourish in a home where he has plenty of affection, companionship, and ideally another friendly cat to share life’s adventures with.

Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $62 on top of the above adoption price.
