Meet Fettuccine,
About: Fettuccine is a delightful girl. This charming doggo is perfect for first-time dog owners and is adaptable to any household environment. Fettuccine would thrive with active individuals or families who enjoy spending time outdoors and engaging in fun activities.
Fettuccine is a gentle and sensitive dog with an agreeable and friendly nature. She is happy, smart, and excitable, bringing sweet playfulness to every moment. Her affectionate personality makes her a wonderful little lady, and she loves to engage with her humans. While she can be timid at times, her confidence has grown tremendously since she joined us, and she continues to flourish with each passing day.
Ideal Home: Fettuccine is best suited to live in a standalone house or on a farm/acerage, with a medium to large sized yard & high, secure fencing.
Fettuccine would love to spend time inside the home with her new family when they are home.
Family: Fettuccine is happy to meet kids of any age & would be fine in a home with people who work part-time or full-time hours.
Furry Friends: Fettuccine is best to be the only dog in the home. She is fine to be walked past other dogs with no issues, but her dog assessment indicated that being face to face with another dog is quite stressful her. She showed us clear signs that she doesn't want to be friends with other dogs & was respectful during the assessment despite being stressed.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Fettuccine would go living with or meeting cats/pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Training & Development: Fettuccine would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience.
Fettuccine is still learning her name but she knows how to 'sit' & is toilet trained. Fettuccine isn't very food motivated, but will accept treats, & will always take treats from you gently. Fettuccine may jump on occasion, but she is very gentle when she does this - this is her way of saying hello.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Fettuccine has mid-range energy needs & would benefit from walking, play or exercise, from 20-30mins per day to keep her happy. Fettuccine isn't too interested in toys, she prefers spending quality time with her handlers.
Fettuccine walks well on a lead with minimal pulling and she is best to be walked on a collar & lead.
Staff Comments: Fettuccine is very affectionate & people orientated. She came in quite scared but he confidence has grown a lot. Fettuccine would thrive in a loving and active household where she can receive plenty of exercise and socialisation. She is well-suited for first-time owners who are ready to provide her with the guidance and support she needs to continue building her confidence.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
