About Eddie
Eddie by name, steady by nature. Eddie is a 12 year old, black and tan male kelpie x. He is a big boy at 27kg. Given his favourite thing in the whole world is SWIMMING, he might be part seal.
Even though he has a thick coat, he is an absolute gentleman to bathe and groom so looking after his coat is a breeze! If he gets wet, he will even volunteer for a blow dry!
Eddie walks well on the lead, just not very fast - he won't need a lot of exercise. He can sit and shake, and likes slow sniffy walks and snoozing in the sun. Eddie is good with new people, kids, cats, livestock and other dogs. He doesn't interact much with the other dogs in his foster home but is happy to share his space.
Eddie was raised as an outside dog and is very content to be left on his own. He sleeps soundly all night in his kennel. In fact, as his hearing is going, he sleeps soundly all the time and sometimes has to be roused for breakfast. He has been spending hotter days inside under the air conditioning and is enjoying his transition to indoor life!
Are you able to give this sweet soul a comfortable place to enjoy his retirement days? He'll reward you with gentle affection and lots of tail wags!
Eddie is located in NSW.
Medical notes
Eddie has some joint stiffness due to his age and arthritis. He is currently on supplements to assist with this and may need injections to further assist his ongoing mobility.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
