About Sam *On Trial*
*sam is currently trialling his new home* meet handsome sam!! sadly a family tragedy has left him without his much adored human companion so this beautiful natured dog is looking for a new home where he will be loved and looked after as well as he was in his previous home. Sam is your typical friendly, happy, bouncy labrador x who loves everyone and everything! he has settled in well in his carers home where he get gets along well with their own dogs as well as the family cat. They also have 2 children who have been giving sam lots of attention and helping him brush up on his lovely manners! sam knows “sit” and will also “drop” for treats and he really enjoys going for walks and checking out the world around him. Sam gets excited when he first meets you but doesn’t jump up much and if he does he responds well to the “down” command. He isn’t a licky or noisey dog though he will give a warning bark when he feels it’s necessary. From his carer:
favourite pastimes: sleeping, playing and running around with the other dogs!
favourite toy: anything that can be thrown and fetched!
cheekiest deed: not bringing the toy back that he’s fetched as he wants you to play chasies with him! \ or harassing his carers miniature horse into joining in with playtime as well – the horse isn’t impressed!
favourite food: he loves treats!
best friends: mindy the labrador and daisy the shar pei x
sam would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with a friendly doggie companion to keep him company or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during his settling in period. A secure yard, daily walks, ongoing obedience training, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated would make sam very happy indeed!
