About Curly Fry
Meet Curly Fries, a sweet 12-month-old male Cavoodle who is looking for a patient and understanding forever home. Sadly, Curly's start to life has been a rough one. He was found as a stray and spent time at a shelter with no one coming forward to reclaim him. It's believed that Curly was kept in a backyard with little interaction or socialisation, leaving him unaccustomed to the world beyond his former environment. Because of this, he requires a very special adopter who can give him the time and care he needs to flourish.
What Curly Fries Needs:
Curly is still learning to trust people and new situations, and he will need an owner who can be gentle with him. Slow introductions to new experiences are essential, as he can get overwhelmed with new sights, sounds, and smells.
Ideally, Curly's new home will have:
A background in behavioural training and modification, as his anxiety and need for socialisation will require expert guidance.
No children, as loud noises and chaotic environments may be too much for Curly to handle at this stage.
A calm, empathetic canine companion who is well-socialised and patient. A dog friend who won't overwhelm Curly with high-energy interactions but can gently encourage him to build his confidence.
Challenges: Curly has shown signs of anxiety, especially when exposed to new situations. He can be vocal in moments of stress, so understanding and patience are crucial. His ideal owner will be committed to helping him work through these behaviours with positive reinforcement and steady, gradual exposure to the world around him.
Curly Fries deserves a chance at a happy, confident life, and with the right guidance and a calm, loving environment, he will grow into the loyal and affectionate companion he is meant to be.
If you believe you have the experience and time to help Curly Fries on his journey to confidence and happiness, please reach out. This sweet boy is ready to find his forever home.
Curly Fries is available via application only.
New owners will be provided with behavioral assistance from BARC and Petcademy online behavioral services.
If you believe you can meet the needs listed above please submit your application in the form of a pre-adoption questionnaire (available from our website) via e-mail for consideration.
Available to Meet Via application only.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
