About Archie
Meet Archie, the epitome of affection wrapped in a fur coat! This gentleman is quiet and endearing, with a love for snuggling up close once he feels at home. Initially a bit shy, Archie requires patience and gentle affection, giving him the time he needs to reveal his loving side. This transition is well worth it, as Archie transforms into the most wonderful family companion.
For those looking to form a deep, rewarding bond with a pet, Archie is your ideal match. His journey from shyness to trust will warm your heart and create a connection that is both special and fulfilling. Living in or around Tweed Heads South would be perfect, as he’s hoping to find a new family close to his current home.
Interested in bringing this sweet soul into your life? You can meet Archie by visiting him at U17/39-41 Corporation Circuit, Tweed Heads South. Ready to adopt? Be sure to complete the online adoption expression of interest form through Friends of the Pound's website. Archie is patiently waiting for the gentle touch of his new loving family.

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
