About Ocelot
Requirements:
Must meet all family members
Kids (all ages)
Inside only
Meet Ocelot,
Ocelot is a sweet kitten who’s a little shy but also a little playful! He is the perfect choice for all kinds of families, even those with young kids - providing that the home is on the quieter side. Ocelot may be a little reserved at first but he quickly transforms into a social and playful boy as he frolics around with his toys.
Ocelot has a very easy going personality, his timidity is very mild but it's important to note this because he may at times show a more reserved side of himself every now and again. Overall, Ocelot is playful & affectionate but big movements may overwhelm him a little and he may back away to show you that he is not comfortable.
Just like all kittens, Ocelot would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. He should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that he grow up big and strong.
Ocelot should be strictly indoors. Reason for this is due to his timidity. Going outside may undo all the progress that he has made since coming into our care. The outside world is big & can be scary for a small kitten.
Ocelot is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a sweet, playful kitty like Ocelot?

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
