Introducing our gorgeous, sweet girl Yasmira.

Yasmira is an affectionate, loveable, playful pup who is full of beans but who is also a cuddle pie. She has soulful eyes, a tail that never stops wagging and is delighted to see us morning, noon and night. She’s adventurous, loves to explore our backyard, gets along with everyone, both humans and dogs. One of her favourite things to do is play and socialise with other dogs.

She is in care with a young great dane/x staffy boy and they love each other’s company. She will bark at him telling him, let’s play! She loves her daily walk and loves meeting dogs along the way. She loves to play with toys to keep her busy and chewing toys as puppies do, so will need these things in her new home. We have been toilet training her and she hasn’t had an accident inside for a while but does have access to outside, so her new home would need allowance for that. She sleeps through the night on a bed near the back door after adjusting to this as she definitely was an outside dog before coming to us. She is happy to sleep in her kennel outside when her people are out and sometimes at night if she chooses to. She does come in after dinner to chill out with her foster family and snuggling into her bed.

Ideally, Yasmira’s new home will be one where she is included as part of the family. She would benefit greatly from puppy school as she still has things to learn like recall etc, but being the breed she is, she is very smart and learns quickly. Puppy school is great for bonding owners to pups at such an early stage. She will also need to live in a home with another dog for company, as we believe all dogs need a friend. A mentor dog who knows the ropes but loves a playmate will be a perfect match for our girl. She will enjoy a daily walk for exercise and to keep her in touch with the world outside of her backyard, like all puppers do.

She has been learning basic commands like sit, stay etc. using her meals or treats to learn, and that training will need to continue with her new people. She’s a work in progress and we’ve started that and found her to respond and learn fast, so this will need to continue.
