About Nina
Nina - sweet heart ❤️
Would suit acreage, property or large suburban block.
7 month female border collie x. (13kilos)
Came from a hoarding property initially with 40 other dogs.
Super sweet nature, loves all people, gentle with kids. Can be timid around new dogs initially, polite when greeting out on walks but loves to wrestle and play once she knows a dog. Will settle and be calm with an older dog but can get overexcited in play with younger dogs. Can be defensive around food, but happy to share toys.
Very smart and loves to learn new things.
Toilet trained, knows sit, drop, stay, bed, toilet, and leave it. Good recall and generally walks well on lead, working on loose lead walking. Well handled and good at the vets. Sleeps well in a crate overnight.
Has attended puppy preschool and weekly training classes. Been exposed to horses, chickens and pocket pets. Not tested with cats.
🚨Is noise sensitive and will bark if anxious about the noise, or if startled suddenly. Has come a long way but was likely not exposed to much as a young puppy and still learning that the world is not a scary place.
Needs an understanding family to continue helping her build confidence. Taking fluoxetine to help with anxiety.
Travels well in a crate in the car.
Suited to rural living as is overstimulated by the city environment.
Loves spending time on acreage, sticks close to you around the property, loves to keep you company. Loves helping in the garden and snuggling on the couch at the end of the day.
Enjoys playing in the river and going on bush walks. Would like a stable routine on a quiet property with people around for company.
