NOTE: You are unable to meet Luna until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Luna in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I'm always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years, although don't let my mature age fool you, I am still full of beans
• I LOVE water and would love to have my very own clam pool to laze around in.
• Being a Terrier I have a high prey drive so I can't go to a home that already has cats, rabbits/guinea pigs or chickens/ducks as I will chase them

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• I have previously lived with young children however due to my anxious nature at times i will be best suited to a home without them
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• I LOVE playing Fetch, I will play all day long if I can
• I Love the water & and splashing about in a clam pool or water bowl, whatever I can find with some water in it
• Highly food & ball orientated
• I can sit, shake hands, stay & come
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Busy Bee, Exuberant & full of beans
• Housetrained and used to being allowed inside

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I appear to be a little stressy at times and am scared of Thunder & Fireworks (will bark), a family who will allow me inside, have a lot of time for me and include me in as many daily activities as possible would be ideal.
• My previous owner said that i will bark at other dogs when i see them out on a walk. The Shelter Staff have not seen this behavior though it could be something that occurs when i am in a home and protective of my family, lots of positive reinforcement and redirection should help this.
• I do pull a little on the lead, walking in a harness should help this.
